Tate Bridge Project 18th June 2016

Koruso! was invited to be one of the 20 community choirs (500 singers) from across London to take part in a 30 minute performance in the Tate Turbine Hall on the weekend of the new Switch House opening (18/19 June 2016). Artist Peter Liversidge wrote 15 short unison songs reflecting conversations he had with builders, architects, staff and the community around the Tate creating an art soundscape; the singers being Peter’s material to work with.

It was an amazing opportunity to sing in an iconic location in Koruso!’s home borough under the direction of Esmeralda Conde Ruiz.

A short video for ‘The Bridge’ can be found on Tate’s website and YouTube. The video provides a great snapshot of Peter’s research, the rehearsals and the final performance!
